Husband and I came from out of state to visit the beach in 2023. I still talk about the beef burrito I had at Sara's. I am making Sara's one of my first stops once back in San Diego. I need this burrito. This burrito makes me want to drive the 8 hours one way, it would be worth it. 10/10.

Delicious burritos with the best fresh tortillas. We got the Al pastor and fish. We preferred the Al pastor more- lots of flavour. My family ordered a variety of things and all thoroughly enjoyed them!

Big portions and very tasty. Had axels burrito and well seasoned and easily identifiable in the wrap. Lots of options in mission beach and this one was great. They don’t have much tables or seats so take your food to the beach or for a drive. If you’re from a town filled with dive bars and a 24 hour Mexican restaurant it’s like that restaurant but way better.

The food was really good after some beach time. The burritos were huge, my wife and I probably should’ve split one since we also ordered chips and guacamole. Fairly priced for the size of what you get.

Come for the Birria tacos!! Best tacos I’ve had so far on my trip in the San Diego area. The birria tacos were absolutely amazing. The carne asada, Al pastor, and shrimp tacos were all great as well. We also had mushroom quesadilla which was really good too. The service was awesome, and we got a good very quickly. Not a dine-in, but they have a couple small tables on the sidewalk. Within walking distance of mission beach and Belmont park so it makes a great lunch or dinner spot. 10 out of 10 recommend that you check this place out if you love authentic tacos

Hidden Gem for Taco Lovers During my California taco adventure, I stumbled upon a small hole-in-the-wall taco joint that delivered an unforgettable dining experience. Here’s a closer look: The Food (5/5) The food here is nothing short of spectacular. I ordered the Al Pastor tacos, prepared Mexican-style, and they were a revelation. Each bite burst with flavor—the perfectly marinated pork was tender, juicy, and complemented by fresh toppings that elevated the entire dish. I also tried their queso birria and consomme, which were easily among the best I’ve ever had. The birria was rich and savory, with just the right balance of spices, and dipping the tacos into the consomme was pure bliss. The depth of flavor in the consomme was remarkable, making it a must-order for anyone visiting. The Service (5/5) The service was top-notch, despite the restaurant’s humble appearance. The staff was friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about the food they were serving. They made sure our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The Atmosphere (4/5) As a small hole-in-the-wall spot, this place keeps things simple with only outdoor seating. While the outdoor vibe was charming and casual, it might not be for everyone, especially if you’re looking for a more polished or cozy indoor setting. That said, the focus here is clearly on the food, and it more than makes up for the lack of ambiance. Additional Perks This spot also offers a Taco Tuesday deal, with tacos priced at just 2.49 each. Considering the outstanding quality, this is an unbeatable deal that will keep you coming back for more. Final Verdict This unassuming taco joint proves that great food doesn’t need frills. From the bold flavors of the Al Pastor tacos to the incredible queso birria and consomme, every dish was prepared with care and authenticity. While the atmosphere was simple, the exceptional food and service made it a standout experience. Final Rating: Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 Overall: 4.7/5 If you’re looking for phenomenal tacos at a great price, especially on Taco Tuesday, this is the place to go. Don’t let its modest appearance fool you—it’s a true culinary treasure.

Best tacos! I hadn’t been to California in a while so you know how it is when you finally eat great Mexican food again! Does not hurt that the location is one block from the beach either! Will definitely be back next time in San Diego
